Ellis Brook Valley Spring wildflower Walk

The walk:

Join a small group (max. 12 people) for a leisurely, 90-minute walk over generally level surfaces within the Valley.

Accompanied by your botanical walk host, you will have plenty of time to locate the different plant species, learn interesting facts about them, ask questions, take pictures and experience the beauty of Spring.

At the conclusion of the walk, you can relax beside Ellis Brook and enjoy a delicious morning/afternoon tea (included). 

Be on the lookout for splendid blue wrens and listen out for the quacking frog too!

The location

Nestled at the base of the Darling Escarpment, within the Banyowla Regional Park, lies the Ellis Brook Valley.

The babbling Ellis Brook emerges from the top of the Scarp and, after ample winter rains, cascades down Sixty Foot Falls; flowing along the valley floor to eventually join the Canning River near the Gosnells townsite.

With 500+ plant species across a diverse landscape of wandoo woodland, heath, creekline and granite outcrops, Ellis Brook Valley is recognized as the richest wildflower location in the Perth Metropolitan Region.

Where to meet:

Option 1:

Meet us in Honeyeater Hollow car park with the Valley.  

NOTE:  This is the first car park you will come to on the left after entering the Valley

 Option 2:

We can collect you from Gosnells Train Station (pick up time to be advised) and return
you to the station at the end of the walk. (Additional charge applies)

What to wear:

Comfortable, casual clothes (long-sleeved tops and trousers recommended), closed, flat/low-heeled walking shoes, brimmed hat

What to bring:

Sunscreen, water bottle, camera
